How to Guide for Marine Spatial Planning Outreach

This is a summary of a How-To-Guide for outreach that supports Marine Spatial Planning for Washington’s coast. Results from outreach workshops, overview trainings and webinars were analyzed and compiled into a lessons-learned report. This panel will discuss the higher level findings and helpful hints that can be applied to any outreach process.
Libby Whiting is a Washington Sea Grant Hershman fellow currently working for Washington Department of Natural Resources. She has been assessing outreach for the Marine Spatial Planning process on the outer coast of Washington State. She has also worked on reviewing data, administering the state’s website, and planning workshops.
