Environmental Education: Aggregating what we know into transferable knowledge

2012 EEN Forum

Led by Abigail Burrows

Environmental Education in different entities, ranging from businesses, government agencies, and education institutions, more in particular towards educational institutions/grade school.

Environmental Education towards the public, which would ultimately garner more community development, stewardship, and a more environmentally conscious public. Further education towards the public includes professional/graduate school, evaluators/administrators, and staff/employees of environmentally-related agencies.

Environmental Education towards the K-12 demographic. How to develop content curriculums, tests, classes, discussions towards educating the younger demographic while also expanding their interests into environmental careers. Steps include developing a vision, finding a target audience, making the curriculum relevant to the students, use of funds/grants on what is important (is the environment important?).
